The high cube configuration provides an external height of 9ft 6in (2,896mm) — one full foot taller than a standard 20ft container — giving an internal height of 8ft 9in (2,650mm). This additional headroom is the primary reason buyers choose this unit over the standard height alternative: it accommodates taller plant machinery, diggers on low frames, and stacked palletised goods that would exceed the internal clearance of a standard 8ft 6in container, and provides more practical working height for container conversion projects where internal lining and insulation will reduce finished ceiling clearance. The unit carries a valid CSC plate certifying it for continued international shipping use at a maximum gross weight of 30 tonnes — making it suitable for both static on-site storage and active freight operations without restriction. This distinguishes it from our 20ft Used High Cube Container (Grade A WWT), which is inspected and weatherproof but not formally re-certified for international freight.
